For Chilli Heads here in the UK there is nowhere near the number of Chilli Festivals or events that our American friends can visit and enjoy, so I was excited to see that not only is there going to be a Chili Fest near me but that it is free for everyone to attend.

Westbury Town Council is running the event in association with Westbury Festival on September 25th from 1pm until 7pm with entertainment through the day from Tequila Mariachi and Jambe de Samba as well as The Cley Hill Stompers bringing the rock.

As you would expect with a Chilli Fest there will be lots of Chilli related activities and events including a chilli eating competition run by Hot Pod Chilli Products and hosted by none other than the ‘UK Chilli Queen‘ Shahina Waseem!

There’s also Chilli Plant competition to be judged by Wiltshire Chilli Farm who have supplied growers with Loco Chilli seeds as well as a Chilli market hosting more than 20 of the best chilli based producers in the UK including hot food and a sangria bar.

There is plenty for kids to do to make this a great family day out including a Circus Workshop, Face painting, Apple pressing and more…and they’re all free.
